About Me - Terence

Hi, I’m Terence! I was born in 2000 and live with my mum, dad, and younger brother in Holbury. I’ve got a great sense of humour and love spending time with people who are kind, calm and fun. I enjoy playing with my favourite toys and games - especially ones that involve interaction. I feel happiest in a relaxed environment with familiar faces.

I need support with all aspects of daily life, including personal care, medication and accessing activities. I have complex epilepsy and learning disabilities, and I use a wheelchair. I’m not very steady on my feet, so I need two people to help me walk or transfer safely. I also need time to process information, so patience is really important to me.

About the Role
You’ll be working in my family home, helping me with personal care, medication and joining me in play, learning and social activities. We often go out in the community—just us and another support worker, or with my family. You’ll also help with therapy programmes and some household tasks. If you’re calm, proactive and full of enthusiasm, you’ll fit right in!

Pay and Benefits

  • Pay Rates above.
  • Ongoing training and support
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata)
  • Sickness entitlement
  • Pension (subject to eligibility)
  • Free DBS check
  • Induction and relevant training (including the Care Certificate)
  • Regular supervision and support from my care team

Requirements for the Role

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
  • Satisfactory references (including your last employer)
  • Enhanced DBS check (a conviction won’t necessarily prevent employment)
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting my wellbeing

If you’re someone who brings warmth, compassion and a sense of fun, I’d welcome your application. Come and be part of my journey - help me live life to the fullest!
