Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Team Leader to join a dedicated care team supporting Verity, a woman in her mid‑40s living with an acquired brain injury in her own home.

Verity is a sociable, humorous individual who enjoys quizzes, films, theatre trips and special occasions. Whilst Verity does not communicate verbally, she expresses her needs and feelings through body language and facial expressions. Her family and support team play an important role in interpreting these cues to ensure her comfort and wellbeing. Verity is registered blind, so her care team describes her surroundings and activities to keep her fully engaged.

As Nurse Team Leader, you will deliver high‑quality clinical care, co-ordinate and lead Support Workers and work closely with Verity’s family, Case Manager and MDT to ensure her wellbeing and quality of life.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, effective nursing care at home and in the community
  • Deliver clinical interventions including PEG feeding, suctioning, respiratory care, catheter care and pressure care
  • Monitor Verity’s health and respond promptly to changes
  • Lead, supervise and manage a team of Support Workers, ensuring high standards of practice
  • Update care plans, maintain accurate records and oversee rota planning
  • Support Verity with personal care, communication and social activities
  • Contribute to ongoing training and ensure a positive team culture

Hours: Full-time – Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week (for example 28 hours care per week and 12 hours team admin to be worked flexibly), with the option to work additional hours at weekends.
