Would you like to support someone who’s bubbly, sociable, and full of fun?

We’re looking for a kind, enthusiastic, and reliable support worker to join a small care team in Worsley. Our client has a fantastic sense of humour and loves getting out and about - whether it’s socialising at local pubs, visiting the theatre, attending concerts or spending quality time with her family, carers, and her little dog!

Following a severe brain injury, our client now uses a wheelchair and requires full support with daily routines, personal care, and therapy sessions. She has a real zest for life and enjoys lunches out, trying new activities, and going on mini-breaks - she’d love for you to join her!

You’ll work closely with her family and Case Manager to ensure she receives the best possible care and support. If you’re someone who brings positive energy and enjoys making a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

What We’re Looking For

  • Essential: A genuine passion for helping others and supporting people to achieve their goals. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from our client and gain insight into the challenges of living with an acquired brain injury.
  • Desirable: Previous care experience, experience supporting adults with physical disabilities, an interest in therapy, and a willingness to try new things.
  • Driver: Desirable but not essential.
  • Vehicle Use: May involve driving a wheelchair-adapted vehicle or occasionally using your own car.

What You’ll Receive

  • Ongoing training and support (including The Care Certificate)
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata)
  • Pension scheme (subject to eligibility)
  • Sick pay entitlement
  • Free enhanced DBS check
  • Regular supervision and support from the Team Leader, Case Manager, and HR team

Our Values

At the heart of everything we do, we are:

  • Supportive – We work together and lift each other up
  • Client-Centred – You’ll help our client live life to the fullest
  • Positive – We focus on what’s possible
  • Quality-Focused – We aim for excellence in everything
  • Act with Integrity – We’re honest, respectful, and dependable

Important Information

  • We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Employment is subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check
  • A criminal conviction will not necessarily prevent employment

If this sounds like the role for you, our client would love to welcome you to her team. Apply today and let’s make a difference together!

About You

We’d love to receive your application if you have the following skills and behaviours:

  • Female applicant required – due to personal care needs.
  • Comfortable and respectful working in the client’s own home and sensitive to the needs and wishes of the family.
  • Willing to learn new skills including hoisting, feeding, and personal care routines (training provided).
  • Physically able to follow a Handling Management Plan, which may involve bending, kneeling, squatting, or lunging to maintain good posture during handling tasks.

  • Flexible and able to use your own initiative.
  • Patient and tolerant.
  • Proactive and encouraging approach.
