Support Worker - Part-Time

Carer/Support Worker/Client Recruitment
£10.50 per hour weekdays / £12.00 per hour weekends.
About The Role

We are currently recruiting a part-time Support Worker to support a friendly adult male who lives in his own home.  He sustained a brain injury in 2003, leaving him with cognitive impairment (including difficulties with his motivation, memory, processing and fatigue). He also suffers from Diabetes Insipidus for which he takes medication and requires his fluid intake to be restricted and monitored.

He currently has support workers supporting him over 5 days and 7 sleeping nights per week.

Support Worker Overview:
The main purpose of this role is to support our client to maximise his independence with all aspects of daily living by prompting him and giving supportive guidance and to enable and promote him in pursuing leisure activities.
You will be required to work within his home and need to be prepared to assist with general household tasks including shopping, cooking, cleaning; as well as supporting in him activities in the community.
Liphook, Hampshire
24 hours per week to be worked in one shift from 5.00pm on Thursday to 5.00pm on Friday.

Additional hours may also be available to cover annual leave & sickness.

£10.50 per hour, Monday to Friday, Days
£12.00 per hour Weekends, Days and Waking Nights
National Living Wage for Sleeping Nights
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata,
  • Free DBS check

In order to promote continuity of our high care standards, you will be offered:

About You
  • Previous experience of working with adults with disability is preferable but not essential.
  • Confident about working in the home environment and sensitive to the needs and wishes of his family.
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality and to respect the clients and his families need for privacy.
  • Reliable and trustworthy with a responsible attitude.
  • Flexible and able to use own initiative.
  • *Physically fit and able to participate in tasks such as walking, gardening/ outdoor voluntary work, going to the gym and bowling.
  • Able and willing to undertake training in order to update existing skills and learn new skills.
  • A sense of humour.
  • Proactive and encouraging approach.
  • Patient.
  • A good communicator with the ability to maintain effective working relationships.
  • Good time keeper.
  • Full driving licence essential (endorsements to be disclosed).  Willing and able to travel within the locality using the client’s own vehicle (fuel will be provided).


Satisfactory references & proof of eligibility to work in the UK required.

This position requires a disclosure request from the DBS. A conviction will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
