About The Role

About the Role:

Our Client, a lady in her 50's, requires a Bank *Female Support Worker to assist her with accessing the local community and to support her with everyday life as required.
A road traffic accident in 1984 has left our client with some memory problems and mild epilepsy, which is under control. She is also registered blind which causes her limitations in unfamiliar environments. Our client enjoys horse riding on a weekly basis, keeping up with environmental issues, gardening, bird watching and recycling. She enjoys going out to the theatre and cinema and also enjoys watching comedy.
  
Role Overview:

The main aim of the Bank post is to assist our client with shopping on a weekly basis. Other tasks may be required such as gardening plus assistance with administration and possibly medical appointments.

The successful candiate will also be required to undertake other tasks relating to the care and welfare of the client as necessary and appropriate.

Bank Work to cover sickness and annual leave for other team members when requested (typical shifts are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am - 3pm)The successful candidate will also be required to be flexible to cover evening and weekend shifts.
 
Remuneration  
  • £11 per hour, Monday to Sunday and Bank Holidays.

Satisfactory references & proof of eligibility to work in the UK required.

This position requires a disclosure request from the DBS. A conviction will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.

 ILS recruit on behalf of their clients and therefore, if you are successfully recruited, you will be employed directly by our client or their Deputy appointed by the Court of Protection.  However, ILS will manage your day to day employment, providing you with the support you need to carry out your role.  Working as a Carer or Support Worker for an ILS client means that you will have a dedicated Case Manager to oversee your client's care needs.
