About The Role
Location: Fleet, Hampshire GU52
Days & Hours: Mixture of Day & Night shifts including weekends - 12 hour shifts from 7.30am to 7.45pm and 7.45pm to 7.30am - see below for more information.
Pay: £11.50 per hour, Weekdays; £12.54 per hour, Weekends and Bank Holidays; Sleeping Nights: National Living Wage (currently £8.21 per hour)/ National Minimum Wage (currently £7.70 per hour) (dependent on candidates age).
Driver required? Essential
Driving Clients Car? Yes - Our client has his own car which the Support Worker will need to drive when supporting our client
Using Own Vehicle? Yes to get to workplace and 
to attend trainings 
Essential: Knowledge of traumatic brain injury and mental health conditions and an interest in music, especially house music.
Accommodation (while on duty): Good sized single bedroom with en-suite bathroom

Andrew, who is in his 40's has a good sense of humour and is very engaging. He is passionate about music and has his own radio show on a local radio station, attends DJ events, house music events and festivals. Andrew has a traumatic brain injury, which has resulted in physical and cognitive injuries, but he is independent in personal care activities and independently mobile. He lives in his own home with a twenty-four-hour care regime on a 1:1 basis.

You will be joining a care team where you will be taking direction from the Case Manager and Team Leader to ensure that Andrew receives all the support he needs. Andrew will require support and assistance in activities of daily living and to enable him to access the community, gym and social events and activities. There are rehabilitation and care plans in place to support Andrew and provide guidance to the support workers.

This job will suit someone who is motivated, proactive and able to bring lots of enthusiasm to the role.

Full time role - 36 hours per week to be worked as part of a rota system, including days and nights throughout the week. It will also involve weekend work.
Fixed Term role (Maternity cover) for 1 year - 36 hours per week to be worked as part of a rota system, including days and nights throughout the week. It will also involve weekend work.
Bank role - Various 12 hour shifts available throughout the week (both days and nights) to meet the needs of the client and to cover sickness and annual leave.
Pay and Benefits:
£11.50-£12.54 per hour, Monday to Sunday, Days
On-going training & support provided
5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata
Free DBS check.

  • A full driving licence essential (endorsements to be disclosed). Andrew has his own car which the Support Worker will need to drive when supporting him.
  • Willing and able to travel with Andrew by car in the locality.

Satisfactory references & proof of eligibility to work in the UK required.

ILS recruit on behalf of their clients and therefore, if you are successfully recruited, you will be employed directly by our client or their Deputy appointed by the Court of Protection.  However, ILS will manage your day to day employment, providing you with the support you need to carry out your role.  Working as a Carer or Support Worker for an ILS client means that you will have a dedicated Case Manager to oversee your client's care needs.
