About The Role
Moving and Handling Advisor - Self Employed or Bank, Flexible Hours Based From Home - Kent and Essex

We are recruiting Moving and Handling Advisors in the East/South East with work in Kent, Essex and into some London areas. The work is client based, with adults and children with Acquired Brain Injury or Traumatic Brain Injury and involves risk assessment, training employed support workers and assessing for equipment in the client’s own home.

 

This is an opportunity to be involved in excellent M&H solutions for clients to support their leisure, learning and care needs and would ideally suit someone already in a part time role.

 

As a Moving and Handling Advisor with ILS you will receive on-going peer mentoring along with a comprehensive PowerPoint and presentation folders training pack and various review and assessment tools.

 
There are opportunities for CPD through informative workshops and team meetings.
About You
As an ILS Moving and Handling Advisor, you will have a wide range of clinical skills and TBI/ ABI experience to enable you to work independently with families and carers who support our clients in the community.

You should be confident in working independently in a community setting with clients with complex needs, particularly children.
 
You will be HCPC registered with a professional qualification and an up to date portfolio (CPD)

You will be self-motivated and have a commitment to working with clients with complex needs, to work on their behalf and in their best interest.

You will demonstrate excellence in communicating, report writing, team working and IT.
 
You need to be innovative, good at problem solving, enjoy working independently and have experience working with clients and their care teams within an own home setting.
 
You will think outside the box to ensure that each client has every opportunity available to them whilst at the same time manage any handling risks to the support workers.
 
A Train the Trainer qualification is desirable.
