We are seeking Support Worker(s) for Harry, a lovely young boy, aged 13, who lives in his own home with his parents and two younger brothers.

Harry has neurological disabilities and epilepsy as a result of hypoxia suffered at birth.  Harry is dependent on others for all aspects of his care and is fed a blended diet via a gastrostomy tube.  He attends a special needs school during the day, but requires support whilst he is at home at all other times, to assist his parents in his daily care.

Harry enjoys watching TV/DVD's and his favourite program is Mr Tumble.  He really enjoys interacting with toys that elicit sound and lights when activated and listening to music. Harry verbalises through the use of sounds, as he is not able to talk, however with the support of his Speech and Language Therapist he is developing his use of Eye-gaze technology to communicate.   Harry also loves to play on his trampoline and swing in his garden and enjoys going outside for walks to the park.

Harry works well with people who explain what is happening whilst providing his care and who allow Harry to make his own choices.  This is an excellent opportunity to join Harry's care team, working with him in his home, to help him reach his full potential.
