Location: Burgess Hill, West Sussex
Days & Hours: 25 hours per week, 5 hours 5 days a week between the hours of 9 and 4 as agreed by client
Pay: Weekdays: £11.00 per hour / Weekend: £12.00 per hour

Essential: Supporting adults with complex cognitive and psychological needs, some experience is mental health will be an advantage
Desirable: Experience working with adults with trauma and mental health

Daniel is aged 40 and currently volunteers in an Age Concern 1 day a week. He enjoys outdoor activities such as walking camping and exploring cycling as an outdoor activity. Before his accident he really enjoyed walking, reading, and watching TV, he would now like to explore physical exercise as well as some more suitable leisure activities with the help of a personal assistant/support worker.
Daniel has a traumatic Brain Injury, which has left his with residual damage of fatigue, poor concentration. He therefore becomes fatigued very easily. He is independent with personal care but may require prompting. He has difficulty with dividing his attention and does find loud noises difficult to handle.
You will be joining a small rehabilitation team where you will be taking direction from the Case Manager to ensure that Daniel achieved his rehabilitation goals. Daniel will require a Personal Assistant/Support Worker to access the community and help him to apply the strategies learned throughout his therapy sessions.
