Location: Farnham, Surrey
Nights and Hours: Sunday, Monday & Thursday nights - 8.30pm to 9.30am. Thursday afternoon 2.30pm - 8.30pm. This will be covered by more than one Support Worker. Bank hours to cover afternoons and nights for absences of the current team.
Pay: Team Leader: £16.00 per hour Weekdays and £18.00 per hour, Weekends Team Leader role - it is anticipated that 4 hours will be required for Team Leader duties, generally during the week. The only weekend work that a Team Leader will be required to do is occasionally arrange cover if a member of the care team calls in sick.
Support Worker: £14.00 per hour, Weekday and £16.00 per hour, Weekends
Driver required? Yes, Sam's Wheelchair Adapted Vehicle
Desirable: Experience working with children with additional needs and an interest in therapy along with waking night experience
Accommodation (while on duty): Wheelchair accessible family home with a separate room for care staff
Interviews Week Commencing: As and when applications are received. These may be held by video call

Sam is a lovely cheerful boy, born in 2012 who has cerebral palsy resulting in complex needs, he is very bright and can communicate verbally. He lives at home with his parents and younger sister. Sam enjoys reading, watching films, playing table top games and playing on his iPad.
Sam is looking for a patient, caring and alert Waking Night Carer to support him throughout the night, as he needs to be monitored, reassured and repositioned when appropriate. Sam’s nights can be quite disturbed requiring intervention throughout the night. Sam needs assistance with all aspects of care including transfers and his personal hygiene during the night and his early morning routine, as he also needs help getting up in the morning.
This is an excellent opportunity for dedicated carers to join Sam's care team and support this very special little boy. A truly rewarding role for someone who is able to communicate effectively and an ability to work with patience, tact, understanding, warmth and compassion.
