Location: Cardiff
Days & Hours: A minimum of 10 hours per week to be worked in accordance with the rota.
Pay: Weekdays £11.00 per hour Weekends £12.00 per hour
Driver required? Essential (will need own car to get to work)
Driving Clients Car? Yes, our clients Wheelchair Adapted Vehicle (WAV), automatic
Using Own Vehicle for work purposes? Yes, On duty and to attend trainings
Essential Experience: Experience of working with children with special needs
Desirable: Shares similar interests with client, such as shopping, fashion, and cinema. Experience of carrying out therapy programmes. Ability to work additional hours as required. Able to work flexible hours, sometimes at short notice. Previous experience of using specialist equipment with disabled people. Experience of carrying out therapy programmes.
Accommodation (while on duty): Fully adapted family home, with separate entrance to Clients area including Support Workers Bedroom and ensuite
Interviews Week Commencing: As and when applications are received, these may be held by video calling

Yvie lives at home with her parents and 3 siblings. Family are very important to her and she enjoys playing with her brothers and sisters, she also enjoys trips out. She also enjoys time on the iPad and watching TV.
Yvie has Cerebral Palsy which has led to limited mobility and fine motor activities and requires help with everyday tasks like feeding and personal care. The Team Leader will work with the Case Manager and therapy team to promote independence, motivation and learning within the family home and out in the community and to prepare her for adult life.
You will be required to plan and organise activities for Yvie along with planning and attending appointments. Co-ordination and continuity of care ensuring Yvie’s safety and welfare at all times.
