Days & Hours: Permanent Role: 10.00pm - 8.00am every Saturday night. Bank Role: 10.00pm – 8.00am to cover absences of other staff members
Pay: Weekdays £13.50 per hour Week nights and £14.50 per hour Weekend nights
Driver required? Essential (will need own car to get to work)
Driving Clients Car? Yes, our clients Wheelchair Adapted Vehicle (WAV), automatic
Using Own Vehicle for work purposes? Yes, On duty and to attend trainings
Essential Experience: Complex medical needs and supporting a child through waking nights, please state in your application what complex care experience you have.
Desirable: Experience working with children with visual impairment and epilepsy
Pets: 1 cat
Accommodation (while on duty): Family home which will be extended to afford the client his own accommodation with separate carer's entrance and carer's own kitchen facilities

Lucas, aged 7, is a fun-loving young boy, who is able to communicate his needs despite his visual impairment and being non-verbal.
Lucas lives at home with his parents and older sister, with extended family living very nearby who all have an input to his care requirements. Lucas has Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, moderate to severe learning disabilities and is registered blind.
You will be joining a small care team where you will be taking direction from the family and Case Manager to ensure Lucas receives all the care he needs. To include supporting Lucas throughout the night and getting him ready for school in the morning, along with assisting him onto the school bus. You will be required to monitor him and settle him during the night, administer medication and provide all aspects of personal care.
This job will suit someone who is calm but very proactive and able to bring lots of enthusiasm to the role.
